HOW TO
PREPARE AND UPLOAD IMAGES FOR
VPS DIGITAL COMPETITION
Our digital projection system is ready for roll out! We'll use it this year, and we'll begin competition using it next September. Digitally projected images will have their own competition class.
In this Forum, we'll learn how to prepare images for our new system. We have superb new specialized software for that. It fits the format we're using for competition now, so you'll see little change in that. For best presentation of your material, you will need to satisfy our formatting requirements. Also, you'll submit material for competition via Internet.
On January 31, Sharon Connolly and David Biehler will demonstrate the whole process for us. That means they will start with images in jpeg and raw formats and go through the process of preparing images to be transmitted to VPS and shown in competition optimally. This will be done in Photoshop. They also will open the VPS website and demonstrate how to transmit images to it. An evening spent with us will help make your participation in digital competition go smoothly.
Chick here to see a copy of the upload directions in PDF format.
There will be time for us to demonstrate the process on a few images from the audience, so by all means bring one or two images on a thumb drive or a CD. We'll also at the same time discuss the images in a completely non-confrontational way, so if you have ones for which you want comments, do bring them.
