Wednesday, September 20: Maureen Costantino is an exhibiting photographic artist in the Reston community. A formal education in studio art at the State University of New York set an early stage for creativity and ideas that have had to share time with family and career. Drawn, in spite of a busy schedule, to continue artistic endeavors over the years using her favorite media of watercolors and photography, Ms. Costantino Ms. Costantino often favors impressionistic renderings of natural subjects in additional to the more traditional approach.

A strong interest and affinity for technology has led to experimentation using photographic images as the foundation for impressionistic photographs. She calls them “photoeclectic paintings.” Professionally, Ms. Costantino has done news reporting, technical writing, marketing writing, graphic arts, and web site design and management. Ms. Costantino is currently employed as a production manager and graphic artist at the Congressional Budget Office in Washington, D.C. where she uses her photographic, document design, and graphic arts skills to produce public domain publications used in support of Congressional legislation. She is a member of the Board of the League of Reston Artists and the webmistress of the LRA web site.
