Tom Hady, APSA, PPSA, developed photographs in the darkroom for 50 years, but has gradually changed to digital photography over the last ten. Black and white prints are his first love, and still are his main competitive outlet, but he also used to work in color slides and more recently has been doing color prints.  He has had prints (monochrome and color) and slides accepted for exhibition more than 1,200 times in locations as far away as India.  PSA publishes a "Who's Who" list of photographers based on numbers of photos accepted in international exhibitions, and Tom was third in North America in monochrome prints last year.

He's judged for camera clubs and for several international exhibitions.  Tom was elected an Associate of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) recently and holds their distinction for proficiency.  He has been President of the Northern Virginia Photographic Society, and held a number of service positions for PSA.  Right now, he is PSA's Award of Merit Director for monochrome prints.  He enjoys photographing all sorts of things, but scenes and grandchildren top the list.  He just upgraded from Photoshop 7 to CS3, and is trying to learn all the "latest and greatest."  He also enjoys teaching, and did a very popular class on digital photography at the Osher Lifetime Learning Institute at George Mason U. last Spring.
