Jim Carrell - Bio
Jim Carrell is an advanced amateur
photographer who captures, processes and prints his
images digitally. He has been a member of the Manassas-Warrenton Camera Club
for 10 years where he has served as President and Vice-president for Programs
and has received awards for Top Ten Images of the Year, Best Print of the Year,
Intermediate Slide Photographer of the Year, and Intermediate Alternative
Process Prints Photographer of the Year. In seven annual photo contests for Fairfax County employees, he has received 20
awards including 2 Best of Show. His images have been in several juried venues,
including four annual Nature in American Photography exhibits at Meadowlark
Garden, the community Art Show (Haymarket, VA), the Images of Liberia House exhibit
at the Manassas Museum, Photography exhibit at the Centre for the Arts in
Manassas, the 2005 and 2006 Spring and Fall and 2007 Fall Art at the Mill
shows, and the Images of Prince William County, Virginia exhibit. Although subjects from the natural world
predominate in his portfolio, he enjoys shooting a variety of subjects,
including abstracts.
