Assignment #1: go home and shoot something, a silk flower, a neighbors house across the street, hand-held at 1/100th, 1/200th, etc. Try to use a zoom and shoot telephoto and then again wide open. Look at the images on the computer and see what is sharp, what isn't. What is sharp for your camera, your lens, and your hands is your very own sweet spot. Then, try to shoot using the shutter speeds that give you the sharpness you want. That's it. Well, maybe write down the sweet spot on an index card and bring it to the Forum on the 28th. Share and compare the good news.

Assignment #2 = Assignment #1 with VR/IS turned on and shooting from 1/100th down to 1/10th sec or lower. Try it handheld and on a tripod.

I might have mentioned other things. The point wass to get people shooting.
