Rick Barnard
Want to know
the best places to shoot in West Virginia? Would you like to learn a few
secrets about photographing the state’s renowned sites such as Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rock and the Monongahela National
Forest? Landscape Photographer Joseph Rossbach, who
specializes in creating unique images of the American wilderness, will discuss
these and related topics during his intensive workshop on West Virginia
location shoots, techniques and field recommendations at the Oct.1 VPS meeting.
VPS members
will reap the benefits of Joseph’s years of experience in West Virginia as he
tells us how to photograph the sunsets at Spruce Knob, create haunting images
of Elekala Run at Blackwater
Falls or shoot the moon from Dolly Sods Wilderness.
Joseph has been photographing the natural world for
over 12 years and has traveled from the deep canyons of the Southwest to the
rugged coasts of New England in search of beautiful and evocative images of the
American wilderness. Joe’s work has been published in magazines, calendars,
advertising campaigns, web sites, art galleries and books.
A seasoned speaker and lecturer, Joseph also conducts
photo tours and workshops and teaches photography classes at Meadowlark Gardens
in Vienna, Virginia. His photos and workshop schedule are available at www.josephrossbach.com, which
contains many images of West Virginia.
